Samagra Kutumba survey, the exercise is scheduled to be carried out across the Telangana State on 19th August, 2014 by four lakh government employees.
The government said, would help in planning welfare schemes for the deserving people. The survey in the GHMC limits is being carried out on the premise that there are 20 lakh households with approximately one crore population. But in reality the number could be bigger as unregistered households, newer settlements and population growth have not been taken into consideration. "The households could be at least five lakh more than the estimate of 20 lakh," one official said.
