Public Wi-Fi Services launched at 17 locations in Hyderabad (Telangana)

Telangana State Government and Bharati Airtel jointly launched ‘Public Wi-Fi’ services at 17 locations in Hyderabad city.

Its great news for Hyderabad resident Smartphone users where they can connect Wi-Fi network on their Wi-Fi enabled devices upto 750MB per day, said AP and Telangana CEO of Bharati Airtel.
Speaking with media Telangana Information Technology minister Sri K.Taraka Ramarao said, “Currently the government is endeavor to launch the similar services with other service providers like State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and other major private networks.

This is just a beginning, We will come to a position where the whole Hyderabad City will be known and 700 square kilometers covered with Wi-Fi network in the upcoming months. Minister also requested Telangana State people to support Government in making Hyderabad a ‘Global Smart City’.
CEO of Airtel added that, optic fiber technology has been used for public Wi-Fi service and the speed of internet will be 40Mbps, the same will depend on number of users availing the service per location at once.
