According to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) new online ticket booking system to be started to visit Taj Mahal.
To avoid reselling and black marketing of tickets the new e-ticketing facility introduced through IRCTC and Tourism Department also welcomed this new approach. Already a website for the Taj Mahal and Humanyun’s tomb has been launched by the IRCTC and ASI this services works after official announcement from New Delhi.
Surendra Sharma the president of Braj mandal Heritage Conservation Society said, ‘Tourists waste a lot of time waiting at the ticket windows. Later, the ASI would be able to fix a daily number of visitors to ease human load on the 17th-century monument of love Tajmahal.’
Every Year nearly six million above tourists visit Taj Mahal and followed weekly off on Friday. Selling of E-Tickets to visit Taj Mahal facility is available through IRCTC website.
Entry for children below 15 years is free. If the tourists having above age 15 years then they have to pay revised rates Rs.750 to Rs.1000 (Foreign Tourists) and Rs.20 to Rs.50 (Indians).
In this regard ADA (Agra Development Authority) sent a proposal to State Govt., to reduce the prices from Rs.750-1000 to Rs.250 from the foreigners and from Rs.20-50 to Rs.10 from the Indians.
