The BSNL for fixing Blackout days the reason behind is a huge percentage of mobile users celebrates the listed Festivals forgetting caste/religion and participates in festivals across India. On this occasion mobile users avails free services to greet wishes to their friends and family members or dear ones availing freebies.
In this regard, BSNL to increase its revenue base and to reduce overload (Server hang) these Blackout days introduced.

Under this Blackout days all the free calls/SMS are Barred including the STVs offers Freebies (Reduced Voice call rate cutter STV and Free SMS STVs) and also Friends and Family Scheme is not allowed on these Black-out-days. This condition will be applicable for all the existing and new customers of BSNL under Prepaid mobile services across Andhrapradesh and Telangana State.
Prepaid plan tariff charges for Voice calls and SMS will be charged.
