State owned Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced the Data activation procedure for internet usage on mobile through SMS sending for new customers under GSM Mobile services .
New enrolled customers at the time of activation new connection BSNL by default not be provides with data activation facility (Data usage) i.e Internet usage as per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines and instructions. Recently TRAI has issued instructions to all Telecom Operators without prior permission from customers by default activated internet usage to subscribers. In this connection BSNL has withdrawn this facility from 1st September, 2015 for new customers by automatically activation of internet facility to subscribers.
BSNL has observed that only around 20 percent of the new customers, who have taken SIM with effect from 01-09-2015 have opted for Data Services by sending the SMS. Therefore, to educate customers about Activation and Deactivation procedure for Data usage through SMS services BSNL introduced Short SMS code for this process.
If customer of Postpaid or Prepaid want to avail Data Services have to get it activate (SMS Activations) by sending single SMS they have type in format and send SMS to 1925 as START.
