BSNL WiFi services offers super fast Broadband internet service @ 20Mbps download speed on BSNL mobiles
State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) started installing large number of Public WiFi Hotpsots in major cities, tourist places and commercial locations to counter the 4G services.
BSNL in association with M/s Quadgen Wireless Solution Pvt.Ltd has deployed WiFi Hotspots across the country to offer public internet access to BSNL users under Digital India campaign. BSNL has installed nearly 2500 WiFi Hotspots in more than 114 cities to offer WiFi services beyond 4G internet speed.
As per latest information, BSNL has planned to setup to offer high speed internet connectivity in selected cities, tourist places and commercial places at Airports, University campuses, Hospitals, Schools, Colleges through WiFi connectivity to bring all data users into one umbrella i.e BSNL Internet Services.
Step-1: Enable WiFi in the handset having BSNL SIM (one time procedure).
Step-2: Select ‘BSNL-QMDO’ SSID ( one time procedure )
Step-3: Select authentication mode as 'EAP-SIM' and you are connected.
Customers will be able to access high speed internet at 2G/3G data price.
2G/3G MDO seamless connectivity with no additional charges.
All other terms and conditions will remain the same.

Q: What is WiFi MDO HotSpot?
Ans: WiFi MDO Hotspot is a location where BSNL mobile customers (Pre-paid & Post paid) can access Mobile internet through wide band WiFi networks for faster speed, once they enter into the Hotspot area.
Q: Is the BSNL MDO facility available to other Telco customers like Airtel customers?
Ans: No. Only BSNL customers (both prepaid and postpaid) can access this facility.
Q: Any Pre-requisites for accessing MDO services?
Ans: BSNL QMDO services are available on all WiFi enabled mobile handsets which support EAP-SIM-AKA. The customer should also have an active BSNL Data package (prepaid or postpaid).

Procedure to invoke WiFi Mobile Data Offloading on BSNL Mobiles
Android Smartphone users may select the ‘BSNL QMDO’ SSID and ten select EAP-SIM authentication method and start browsing. As well iPhone user need to download MDO certificate and select the ‘BSNL-QMDO’ SSID and start browsing.
