BSNL Withdrawal of EROS Now Bundling with Special Tariff Vouchers / Plan Vouchers available the future of BSNL packs without Eros Now services.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently announced the withdrawal of the "EROS Now" bundling with all vouchers (STV/Plans) under Prepaid and Post-paid GSM services with immediate effect. This decision was made by the competent authority of BSNL and is to be implemented in accordance with the 43rd Amendment of Telecom Tariff Order and orders/guidelines/clarifications issued by TRAI from time to time.
Changes in Prepaid Plans: BSNL had introduced prepaid plans that bundled free EROS Now content for subscribers. For example, the STV 78 by BSNL came with 3GB per day data offering along with unlimited calling benefits and had a validity of eight days. Additionally, other plans also offered EROS Now subscription, such as the Rs 98, Rs 247, and Rs 429 BSNL recharge plans.
Impact of the Withdrawal: With the withdrawal of the EROS Now bundling, subscribers will no longer have access to the free EROS Now content that was previously bundled with specific BSNL plans. This change will affect both prepaid and postpaid GSM services offered by BSNL.
The recent decision by BSNL to withdraw the bundling of EROS Now with STVs/PVs under GSM Prepaid & GSM Postpaid mobile services reflects a shift in the company's offerings and is in line with the regulatory framework set forth by TRAI.
