BSNL to facilitate Free SIM card to Sadhus during Nashik Kumbh Mela 2015

BSNL offers Free of Cost SIM cards during Kumbh Mela to Sadhus to stay connected across the country.
State owned Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to provide Free SIM cards to Sadhus during Kumbh Mela for successful communication to connect across India.

BSNL General Manager of Nashik Sureshbabu Prajapati said, ‘The service will effective the sadhus to stay connected across the country, as we have already announced Free National Roaming to receive Free incoming call any where India for BSNL customers. During Kumbh Mela Sadhus have to carry few documents to avail this offer like identity card and address proof along with a photo and an introduction from a local resident to get Free BSNL SIM card’.

GM Nashsik added, ‘BSNL introduced Cheap Outgoing calls National Roaming special tariff voucher for Prepaid customers in all Telecom Circles. To facilitate better connectivity to piligrims visiting the city for the Kumbh Mela, we have installed 107 new mobile towers, including 58 in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. The rest of the towers are in the district. We are also adding up 13 new Communication on Wheels (CoW) of which 11 have already been setup in the city and the remaining two will put shortly’.

For the Kumbh Mela BSNL already started Free WiFi services in eight locations four in the city Sadhugram, Panchavati exchange office, Laxmi Narayan temple and the Sadhugram areas and in Trimbakeshawar Exchange, Kushavart, Swami Samarth Kendra and Amrut Kunj areas with radius of around 150m in each area.

In Nashik BSNL has 1.05 lakh Landline customers, 3.5 lakh mobile customers (Including Prepaid and Postpaid).
