State owned Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limietd (BSNL) is striking new development where BSNL customers are getting redirected to the company’s advertisement page www.mail.bsnl.co.in is a marketing site to promote Enterprise Email solution licensed to BSNL. Most of the BSNL Broadband goes on this issued that BSNL unethical on marketing, redirects users to a promotional page and facing the difficulty on all platforms and across all browsers.
Broadband are facing difficulty on redirecting to www.mail.bsnl.co in when open a new tab window in the new browser and go ahead their browsing.
According to the official sources from BSNL like Public Sector Unit (PSU) clarified that on promotional basis advertising and promoting its Enterprise mailing services redirecting to www.mail.bsnl.co in through BSNL email solutions association with XGEON Plus (World’s Most Advanced Email Services) in India only applicable for Broadband users at once when they re-start modem.
One of the BSNL customers from Bangalore expressed his view on this issue through email:
BSNL agreement with XGEON plus email solutions promoting private Enterprise email solution. Just for few seconds blocking internet gateway (Universal Access Method) just to tell about existence of an email solution and then letting them pass the gateway to use the internet services.
Broadband customer are unaware about this promotional activity where customer are re-directing to mail service 10 times day even for a back to back web page/DNS request as there is no way for any Apps to show up the authentication page.
Mailer requested BSNL authorities ‘before they promoting any type of advertising or redirecting services just inform all its customers about new services and re-directions etc.’
