State owned Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) installed number of Public WiFi hotspots across the country in major public places, Tourist places and Pilgrim places to compete with Private telecom players to offer 4G speed networks.
As per latest information, BSNL is offering duration based prepaid WiFi plans usage to customers has been revised to volume based services for the WiFi Hotspot Services in association with Hot Spot Services (HSSP).
BSNL commissioned more than 650 WiFi hotspots and plans to setup total of 2500 Hotspots in the current financial year 2015-16. From 11th March, 2016 onwards BSNL will offer Volume based tariff instead of duration based tariff for Andhrapradesh and Telangana Circle customers.
- BSNL has not revised Data Volume/Validity of BSNL WiFi 30, BSNL WiFi 50 data plans. Simultaneously, BSNL increased validity for BSNL WiFi 90, BSNL WiFi 150 data plans.
- BSNL WiFi Data plan 30 offers, 200MB Free Data Volume comes with one day validity. Also, BSNL WiFi Data plan 50 offers, 400MB Free Data Volume comes with one day validity.
- Whereas, BSNL WiFi 90 offering 800MB Free Data Volume validity revised to two days from existing one day validity.
- As well, BSNL WiFi 150 Data plan offering 1.5GB Free Data Volume revised to three days from existing one day validity.

The above revision will be implemented with effect from 11th March, 2016 in Andhrapradesh/Telangana Telecom Circles and applicable to Prepaid WiFi plans customers.
All other terms and conditions will remain the same.
